Research Scientist, Duke University
Aaron received his PhD from the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Duke University in May, 2017. Before arriving at Duke, he earned Bachelor & Master of Science degrees at Texas A&M University where he first gained exposure to onsite water and wastewater treatment interventions through research and hands-on experience with problems in Texas as well as abroad. This experience motivated him to pursue a PhD focused on sanitation technology interventions for developing countries. Since arriving at Duke, his focus has been on taking the ADPL concept from the lab to the field, installing systems in Kenya, India, and the Philippines, as well as improving on the treatment processes to promote wide-scale application of the system.
