PhD Student Researcher, Duke University

Brandon is a PhD student in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Duke University. Before joining the Deshusses lab, he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in civil engineering at the University of Florida. His research experience with wastewater treatment and hands-on experience with international development projects further ignited his interests to help make a direct, positive impact to the health and well-being of people through technological advances in sanitation sciences. Brandon is currently at Duke University working on the Anaerobic Digestion Pasteurization Latrine (ADPL) project, where he is focused on improving the biological treatment processes of the system.
