Florencia came from the University of Valladolid to Duke University to work as a postdoctoral researcher. At the University of Valladolid, as member of High Pressure Processes Group, she completed her PhD focusing on the fractionation and hydrolysis process of renewable biomass to produce added value products in subcritical conditions. Additionally she carried out part of her research during a doctoral exchange in the Chemical Reaction Engineering and Industrial Chemistry Department at the Abo Akademi University, Finland.
