Kate Stetina

Graduate Student Researcher, University of Colorado, Boulder

Kate is currently pursuing a B.S./M.S. dual degree in Environmental Engineering and a Certificate in Engineering for Developing Communities from the University of Colorado, Boulder.  In collaboration with researchers at Duke University and with support from the American Association of University Women (AAUW), she is conducting research about the use of biochar for odor control in latrines.  She is most passionate about water, sanitation, and hygiene in rural developing communities and looks forward starting a career abroad in this sector after graduation.
